The Time Is Now!

July 30th, 2010 Posted by Licensing, Registration No Comment yet

Update: We changed the trial expiration for beta testers. If you signed up to be a beta tester, your installed version will continue to function without restrictions until August 17. Happy timing!

After countless counted seconds and hours and days and weeks and months, TimeThis is now officially out of beta and is ready for purchase — grab your license today!

We really appreciate all of our beta testers and the feedback they have provided; TimeThis truly is a better application because of your bug reports and suggestions. We don’t want this kind of interaction with our users to stop (or even slow!) now that the app’s technically out of the testing phase. Please continue to let us know how we can make TimeThis better for you.

So, what happens now? If you downloaded TimeThis during our beta period, you’ll be able to use your installed version for 15 more days starting today until August 17. After that, you’ll need to register TimeThis with a purchased license.

What does a purchased license get you? First, it lets you continue to use TimeThis to post time to activeCollab or Basecamp. Second, it covers two major version upgrades. What’s a major version upgrade? Well, it’s not an incremental update that fixes some bugs; rather, a major upgrade is likely to be released if and when activeCollab or Basecamp change their APIs to allow for greater functionality, at which point we’d have to update TimeThis to extend its capabilities, too.

And don’t forget about volume licensing, which gives you a price break if you need licenses for everyone on your team. At increments of 5, 10, 30 and 50, the price per license goes down.

We’re excited that TimeThis is enjoying a wider release now, and we hope that you continue to enjoy using it as your desktop time-tracking tool of choice. Happy timing!
