Time Tracking and Your Project Management Account

January 14th, 2011 Posted by TimeThis No Comment yet

First off, happy new year! Last year was a busy one for us, as we finally got TimeThis out the door (halfway, at least, since we’re always making tweaks and improvements) and finally finished our own website. Have a look at merryfools.com.

Secondly, we wanted to make a brief point to clarify the ability of TimeThis to interact with Basecamp and activeCollab. TimeThis can only post time to your Basecamp or activeCollab account if your account plan includes time tracking, which not every plan does.

  • The Basecamp help section currently reads, “Time Tracking is offered on all Plus, Premium and Max Basecamp plans. If you’re not on one of those plans, you’ll need to upgrade to use this feature.”
  • According to the activeCollab licensing options, only the Corporate license includes time tracking.

To find out which type of plan covers your account with your respective project management application, you’ll have to consult the account owner at your company.

If you’re interested in TimeThis, then time tracking is obviously important to your work. Why not upgrade (or persuade your boss to upgrade) to a Basecamp or activeCollab account that includes time tracking? Once you do, you know where to find TimeThis.
